Shelf Moor Wheatears







A tour of Shelf Moor fields this evening inspired by Tracys report yesterday produced 13 female and 2 male Wheatears.
Possibly the males move on to moorland territory first followed by the females.

Tracys field...................................4f  1m Wheatear
                                                     2 Pied Wagtail
                                                     4 Meadow Pipit
Hawthorn field...............................3f  1m Wheatear
                                                     8 Woodpigeon
                                                     1 Lapwing
                                                     2 Mistle Thrush
Gorse field.....................................2f Wheatear
                                                     c 50 Starlings
Shelf Moor pond ,field above........4f Wheatear
                                                      6 Canadas.

Been too busy with other pressing matters these last few days. Been struggling with a few things but getting there! Don't count me out yet !!! Have you heard from Turkey?

They seem to be plenty about in Shelf Brian.

I saw another Roe Deer in the valley tonight. I got a few distant shots.

It is a good year Brian. Had 2 goldfinch and 2 greenfinch in the garden tonight. Never seen that before! It must be the niger!
