Finches, Thrushes, Starlings and a new Soil Hill record.

Finches moving through
Goldfinch, Chaffinch, Brambling moving

First large flocks of Starling > NE

Another good moving day with blustery winds and heavy showers keeping the migrants moving.
All was quiet over Queensbury until mid morning when Redwings and Fieldfares started coming over all >NE. This continued until midday when flocks of finches started coming over Foxhill park during my lunch hour, these were identified as mainly Chaffinch and Goldfinch with at least 6 Brambling in with them all >NE.
Other than the finches the first large squadrons on Starlings were coming overhead also >NE.
By the time I was walking back to work all was quiet.

A new bird was reported for a Soil Hill fly over today when Hawkeye Creber, (HC . BOG) clocked 2 Gannets flying fast and >E between Soil Hill and the Oxenhope watch point. Well spotted Howard.
