Whooper search, Fly Flatts, Leeshaw, Lower Laithe.

                                      Leeshaw Cormorant
                                     Full breeding plumage
                                   15 Oystercatchers present at Leeshaw

A misty morning at Fly Flatts with heavy drizzle on a moderate SW>5 so a check on the water
then a move on to Lower Laithe and Leeshaw where the wind was still blowing and light rain throughout.
Plenty Oystercatchers back with 2 at Lower Laithe and 15 at Leeshaw along with one Curlew, the same date as my first at Leeshaw last year.
Lapwings are already claiming territory in the fields whilst a flock of 100 + were mobile with 2 Golden Plover in with them. A shame to see a Badger road victim on the way to Leeshaw in the same place as I saw one last year.
