Sunday morn at Fly Flatts

3 unidentified grey geese turned out to be Pinkies from the photos.

Sign of spring Canadas returning to the area.

A better morning at Fly Flatts than expected with early mist mostly confined to the west bank area and clearing by 0800 hrs to leave a pleasing morning with 90 % light grey cloud cover on a light W>3 increasing to W>5 near the end of the watch.
Fly Flatts had a real taste of spring in the air this morning with 16 Canada geese back and 5 Greylags just leaving as I arrived as well as Mallards out on the water.  Whilst walking the west bank 3 grey geese flew over the Nab very high and direct >NW but too distant to put a positive i.d. on them till I got back and put them on the computer showing they were Pink Footed.
None of the expected Whoopers moving yet although March is the peak time for them and no gulls about either.
