Struggling with the south westerly. Fly Flatts

Red Grouse pairing up now.  Male
                                      Female
                  Single Stonechat present

Early morning at Fly Flatts with bright sunny skies but still the cold SW>5 blowing and frost on the ground.
1 hours walk on the west bank and 1 hours sky watch found very little with just the usual Canadas and Mallards on the water whilst a single Stonechat was present but distant.
Amazingly the skies were empty with not a single gull, corvid, goose or swan, the only contenders being a small squadron of Starlings >W, an uncommon fly over bird up here apart from Autumn Vis Mig time.
