A double dip at Fly Flatts.

An early morning then late afternoon visit to Fly Flatts amounted to nothing today blamed mainly on the weather with the wind being stuck in the SW and looking that way for the most of next week. SW is always a poor wind for this area with W being the most productive followed by NW.
Other than that the sun, blue skies and mild temperature brings out the nugget brigade with this afternoons watch being cut short due to a constant stream of people walking past, mountain bikers and to top it all a super nugget on the north end with a noisy drone flying it round the perimeter of the reservoir throughout the time I was there. I hope the hospital can remove it from him without too much trouble.!!
Apart from all that, things were very quiet with nothing in the skies both morning and afternoon and just the usual Canadas and Mallards on the water along with a small group of Lapwing on the east shore. The Skylark was again present on the Nyjer seed.

              Skylark skulking in the grass.
