Fly Flatts 0815 hrs Cold SW>5 90% dark cloud cover, light showers.
Not the best of starts to 2018 with very little action at Fly Flatts with empty skies and just 5 Mallard on the water. Stonechats were the bird of the morning with 5 present down near the feeding station and at least 2 by the Withins. This is a species that appears to be on the increase again after a lull over the last few years.
The Goldeneye were still present on Mixenden along with a Cormorant and several small gulls viewed from the top road.
