Even with my first afternoon off work it was 1745 hrs before I got to Ogden after a priority shopping trip to Brighouse and then getting involved in some outside work despite the rain.
The weather was spoilt tonight with a NNE>4 and heavy rain /drizzle along with the cloud base being just below the tree tops which put paid to any form of sky watching.
Birds present were much the same as JLs report for earlier in the day with the m Goosander diving well at the north end of the water but strange why it is still there and getting tamer, has anyone seen this bird fly ?
Otherwise it was 1 Bh gull , 13 Canadas and the usual Mallards.
The feeders have been well stocked up for a change and were busy with Gt and Coal tit as well as a pair of Magpies with 5 young.
