Ogden, evening visit

                           Heron out in the open
The black dots are flies, not a mucky lens.

                         The long staying Goosander
Odd time of year to get 3 Black Headeds

                            Willow Warblers collecting flies

With a good report from NK for Ogden, see his blog, and specs of rain starting I thought conditions could be ideal for Tern passage this evening but as I arrived there at1900 hrs unfortunately the rain never transpired and I was left with a dry muggy evening surrounded by thousands of flies.
NKs Tufteds and Oystercatchers had left, leaving me with the long staying Goosander and a Heron along with a couple of Willow Warblers and the odd sighting for here of 3 Black Headed gulls which seemed odd for June although all 3 were 1st summer non breeders.
Plenty shoreline at the moment so hopefully it will stay ready for the returning waders in a couple of months time.
