Another glorious day after a night of heavy frost which thawed by 0900 hrs.
Good numbers of Common gull were moving >NW throughout the day along with a few Black Headed.
A check on Shelf Moor trailer park at lunch time produced 82 Lapwing 2 fields away in the horse field whilst the trailer field held 7 Meadow Pipit and 2 Skylark showing things are on the move at last.
A flock of around 20 Greenfinch were mobile at the bottom of Corporal Hill whilst Green Lane just had a few small gulls in the fields and 14 Magpie around the roost tree.
Kept an eye on the skies today expecting Pink Footed geese over but not to be.
Walked home in the daylight tonight at 1715 hrs , things are looking up.
