Searching for Gold

                                19 Golden Plover, 26 Lapwing
                                     Keeping a good distance away

               All taken with Canon 300mm

With a day without fog, till darkness anyway, it was up to the Raggalds in search of the Golden Plover flock.
Luckily I came straight upon them seeing Lapwing on the Pit Lane football pitches I parked up and a quick scan found 19 Golden Plover in amongst them but all at a distance.
Kicking myself for taking the 300mm lens instead of the 600mm I took what I could , luckily the light was on my side.
Strange how the Lapwing/Goldie flock have vacated Shelf Moor and are spending this winter around the Raggalds instead.
A drive down Old Guy Road failed to produce DWs Snipe flock but with time running out it was just a scan from the roadside.
