Well it didn,t take the fog long to find its way into 2016 with dense fog from yesterday evening and continuing throughout the day with visibility down to a few yards.
A visit to Ogden at 1430 hrs, which was just below the cloud base, was like night time birding with very little daylight and heavy rain.
A full walk around the circumference of the water produced 1 Dunnock the whole of the way round with just Mallards and small gulls on the water. Around 20 minutes spent peering through the murk down to the overflow but the Kingfisher and Dipper failed to show although they had been sighted earlier by DJS.
Looking outside tonight puts me on a low expectancy for a decent morning.
