A real non descript day weather wise with sunshine and showers , some wintery with sleet and odd flakes of snow.
A few big gulls, LBBs >N over the village as well as the resident small gulls just about sums up todays sightings.
Mega busy at work so no time for a dinner time dash but a customer reported around 100 Lapwings at Shelf Moor late afternoon.
A fisherman came in the garage today telling me that Cormorant shooting is now ripe at several match ponds and even along stretches of river where matches are held.
He says that large numbers of Cormorants are clearing areas of fish so wardens and farmers are doing their own cull.
