NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Another stiff breeze for Queensbury

Some highlights from January 2014

Plenty Pinkies on the move in local skies

Trees full of Fieldfare and Redwing, Coley Church

                         Shelduck at Ogden 19th.

       Plenty Treecreepers around Ogden.

Strange character lurking around Coley church
                                       More Pinkies heading home
                   Teal on the Raggalds Flood

Needless to say no birds recorded around the village other than the Foxhill Common gulls in horrendous weather with a gale to severe gale force >WSW 8 gusting 9 possibly 10 midday with heavy horizontal rain.
The village was nearly brought to a standstill with wheelie bins, fences and tree branches, whilst NK reported another trailer blown over on the trailer park.
No let up in this weather for the next few days by the look of things.
The wind could stir things up a bit but its the cold weather we need now to activate the birds.
