At least its topped up the Raggalds Flood!

Raggalds Flood back to full strength
            Lapwings seem settled there
Still small Lapwing flocks at Shelf Moor

Very little daylight left by the time we got in this afternoon so just time for a check of the Raggalds Flood and Shelf Moor.
The wind had dropped considerably though still strong with sleet showers turning to light snow and freezing after dark.
Raggalds Flood is full to the brim again but not yet attracting any wildfowl with just the now resident Lapwings with a count of 38.
Shelf Moor fields held 79 Lapwing, 2 Black Headed gulls and c100 Starling with no sign of Snipe or Golden Plover.
Forecast for more wind and rain for tomorrow but I,ll do a weather check first before deciding where to head for.
