Queensbury, more Woodpigeons on the move.

A perfect vis mig morn with an early sunrise
  and mist in the valleys.

Woodpigs piling through against an early sky
Smaller flocks continued until mid morning
The public transport in Queensbury really does
                    need updating.

One for you Graham, I know you like Herons.
Graham is a customer and blog watcher with a long
standing suffering of Herons using his garden pond
as a fish restaurant.

A bright sunrise and early morning mist in the valleys made ideal conditions for bird movement and from first light this morning Woodpigeons were piling over >S in massive flocks.
A text from HC at Oxenhope again saying Pigs-Pigs-Pigs told me he was getting the same.
The large flocks dwindled down to stragglers after 0745hrs but these low numbers continued until late morning.
One large flock of c130 Fieldfare came over >S at 0755hrs but that was just a one off.
With casual viewing, before, on the way to, and at work I estimate around 600 Woodpigeons.

By lunchtime all was quiet on the movement scene but the sky was full of Starlings very high up feeding on the wing meaning there were large swarms of flies up there.
