Clear afternoon but too late for birding

          Who would believe today would
               end up like this.
  Sky over Foxhill, last light

Typical that it takes up Sunday night
ready for work in the morning.

Unbelievably the fog lifted mid day leaving a bright clear afternoon but by the time we,d finished grand daughter duties it was 1600hrs and on the edge of dark. A dog walk up Foxhill found bright red skies as the sun went down.
11 Canadas were seen fly over the daughters house at Kebroyd, Sowerby Bridge this afternoon along with 4 adult Herring gulls going up the valley towards Baitings.
Just have to write this weekend off as a non birder and wait for the next one to come along.

A call late afternoon from a blog watcher in Brighouse reporting a Kestrel in the Hove Edge area with a leather strap and a bell on its leg sitting on a fence .
If anyone hears of a missing bird I have details of its whereabouts today. I have also put this out on Hx grapevine . The bird will have problems finding food if it has been fed in captivity.
Thanks for the report from the caller .
