Showing off the wing pattern
A dozen Redwing followed by 47 Fieldfare came over >S not seeming to bother about the conditions but this was the only 2 Thrush flocks seen.
Woodpigeons continued to move throughout the morning in small groups with the last sighting of a flock of around 100 at 1100hrs moving >S to the SE of me.
A reet good soaking at lunch time both walking home and back and dog walking up the park but interesting to see the Common gull flock increasing with several staying the day.
Yesterday the park held 83 Commons at first light but most dispersed as the dog walking started.
The heavy rain continued throughout the day which should make the Raggalds Flood interesting this weekend.
Two Whooper Swans were reported on Fly Flatts today courtesy of the Calderdale grapevine.
Hope you all have a good birding weekend without spending too much on those Christmas presents.
