NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Queensbury Today

A day of sunshine and showers clearing by late afternoon leaving a pleasant evening, shame its our Morrisons night.
Very little seen during the day other than the first batch of noisy young Starlings are out now and feeding on the football pitches in Foxhill park, about 30 were present at midday and the same this evening.
Dog walking this evening by the old covered reservoir at Mountain found :-
11 Goldfinch
1 distant Wheatear
4 Blackbirds
2 Pied Wagtails
14 Jackdaw
1 Curlew over very high >W.

Spoke to a Halifax firefighter at work and he said, thanks to Yorkshire Water helping them buy a moorland buggy with a water tank and spray on the back plus another same vehicle owned by the farmer they soon had the Cold Edge Dams fire under control although he said there were several broken eggs around the area.
