Evening Trek ( 2hrs ) Ogden Clough

                               Looking back at the reservoir
Hard to watch the path and look for birds here.
Ring Ouzel country but not today
                                    Back down the Clough
                               Replacing the burnt trees.

Today did,nt finish as it started on a high after a 2 hour trek up Ogden Clough and across to the wind farm proved very poor for birds. Checked the stream for Grey Wags and Dipper, nothing. Checked the quarries and stone areas for Ring Ouzel, nothing, and the burnt area of the moor held just a couple of Lapwings, 1 Curlew and a few Mipits where before the fire several Golden Plover bred up there but never got 1 call today.
Having said that the area is ideal for Dotterel with heather stubs and large bare areas although its a bit out of the way to keep a check on. Best option is to go in from the Withins end.
No Cuckoo call from the Clough but the cold SE>4 seemed to be keeping things down.
