A good dry morning till just after midday when the rain started and slowly got worst as the day went on. By early evening we were left with heavy drizzle and thick fog. On the bright side a big clump of high pressure is over us for the weekend so hopefully we,ll have a decent one, on the down side Ive a capful of decorating to do but I,m sure I can work around that one.
This morning Swallows and Swifts were moving over in good numbers all >NE probably moving in front of the oncoming weather as by late morning the movement had stopped.
Two Curlews came over the garage >NW mid morning very high making me think of Whimbrel until one called dismissing that idea.
Is there a shortage of Dunlin this year so far, I have,nt had any and I have,nt seen any mentioned on the other local blogs ?
