Queensbury Today another Pinkie near miss

Resident Lapwings at the Raggalds Flood

                                          No shortage of water now

A better day with the wind decreased to WSW>5 then increasing again after dark to SW>7 with driving snow for a time turning to rain.
More bright skies and again Pink Footed Geese failing to gain the height to come over the village and passing us to the north today >W over Ogden, DJS. Yesterdays skein to the south,PT. of c 50 and todays skein, DJS of 40 seem like birds just starting to move in small numbers with the large skeins to come later this month.
Raggalds Flood today looked healthy water wise but again no wildfowl, just the usual Lapwings c60 and one of each, Black Headed and Common gulls.
Nearly back to the weekend again and hopefully the wind will ease by then.
