Not a good start to November.

With dense fog throughout the day up here on the tops this morning was a dog walk at Ogden in the mist and heavy drizzle with just a few Common and BH gulls present as well as the usual Mallards.
Leeshaw reservoir late afternoon was just below the cloud base but very dark and damp.
Several Greylags were on the water as well as Mallards along with 2 Cormorant. Around 80 Black Headed gulls came in settling along the wall and gantry along with 12 Commons, 3 Lessers and 5 Herring gull. Several Fieldfare and Redwings were in the surrounding fields whilst one field held 28 Stock Dove.
So not the best of kick offs to November with plenty rain forecast for the weekend and next week although we can put up with the rain as long as the fog stays away.
