1530 hrs and in a vain attempt to get out of the wind it was over the ridge to Leeshaw Reservoir.
The wind was still blowing well here with a strong
SW >6-7 bringing rain cloud after rain cloud over the moor dropping a mixture of heavy drizzle to heavy rain onto me. With the dark sky and sun attempting to show photographic conditions were at their worst with everything showing in silhouette.
Plenty gulls in and out , some staying on the shoreline ,whilst a small flock of Lapwing produced 2 Golden Plover from in amongst them picking them up on call before they seperated from the group.
Yet again no wader on the shoreline, no wildfowl on the water and local inland Terns seem to have gone into extinction.
A few Pinkies about again today with biggest reports coming from the Wharfe valley along with an Osprey, ( Skipton Gordon.)
