Just time last light for a quick Snow Bunt check at Soil Hill arriving up there at 1515 hrs and light almost gone by 1600 hrs.
2 Common Snipe flushed from the track beyond the mast and dropped over the NW corner whilst 4 Meadow Pipits were on the mounds.
No signs of yesterdays Skylarks and did,nt go across to the Jack Snipe area so as not to flush it at last light.
Still no signs of Snow Bunts but some good inviting areas for them along the track and on the east summit where there are several patches of cropped grass and gritty soil.
Several gulls heading to the Oxenhope roost with at least 4 Herrings.
Will be interesting to see if the Ogden Pintails stay in the area another day.
