A real horror of a day with strong winds and lashing rain but good to hear that 3 local dedicated birders were out on watch. ideal conditions for moving Terns but no reports so far.
Thanks to John and Nigel for informing me of water on the Raggalds Flood and a quick dinner time and early evening check combined found :-
2 Drake Mallard
2 Pied Wagtail
3f Wheatear
1m Reed Bunting
4 Woodpigeons
3 Swallows.
Good do that cattle are present again which tend to mud up the ground around the edges of the water.
A report yesterday of a Snipe on the Foxhill top football pitch at 0730 hrs.
