And how it blew, Queensbury p.m.

A couple of poor Snipe shots in the wind and heavy drizzle.

An atrocious late afternoon finishing the weekends birding on a low.
A strong WSW > 6-7 was blowing driving horizontal drizzle across the area.
First stop was Coley church where the farmer was working the field so nothing present although the muck spreading could bring something in.
Next stop was Northowram fields and cricket field area which were void of any bird life.
Final stop was Shelf Moor trailer field which was deserted and a disappointment in the juncus field where 2 horses were tethered with just 3 Snipe and 2 Meadow Pipit present.
One of the Snipe was a dead ringer for a Jack being slightly smaller and lifting and dropping a few yards away but when I got it in the bins flying it was a Common but a possible runt.
