Wheatears everywhere
A wind blown Ollie wondering where the bankings gone
Fly Flatts Strong SW>6 dropping slightly then increasing 6-7. Dry and bright.
An amazing 2 hour this morning with birds moving in the sky and a good supply of grounded migrants at both north and south end of the water although very hard work with most grounded birds having to be scoped which was near impossible in the strong wind.
A bright white wader stood out near the NE corner which turned out to be my 2nd Grey Plover at this spot this year. The bird then flew across to the central west banking where I was unable to relocate it. A Yellow Wagtail stood out on the same piece of NE shoreline which then flew down into the NW drain to keep giving brief views. At one point it was like being at Spurn with Reed Buntings, Wheatears , Whinchat,Willow Warbs and wagtails on and around the shoreline.
