The moor was still smouldering this morning with fire engines shuttling down to the Delvers to fill up from the hydrant and as I came away farmers were starting to run hoses from the reservoir across the moor.
Bird wise the morning was amazing with waders everywhere. The shore by the boathouse held Dunlin, Common Sands and Oyks with Common Sands and Redshank scattered all around the perimeter.
Walking on towards the north shore I could see a large wader on a small island which turned out to be a Bar Tailed Godwit with DJSs Teal swimming around it. As I was watching this a Ringed Plover landed and settled on the north shore along with more Redshanks.
Scoping was very hard in the wind and I had to have the tripod legs down and nearly lay on the deck to get a steady view.
The Barwit and RP were still present when I left.
