Troubled Skies

Queensbury Reservoir
West towards wind turbines
Old Guy Rd cricket field.

A strong westerly wind tonight kept the birds down with none of yesterdays Willow Warblers showing unless they moved on overnight. A few Swallows were present, feeding under the park trees and two Pied Wagtails were on the bottom pitch.
Old Guy Rd fields held just 11 Common Gull and 5 Black Headed but practice on the cricket pitch was causing some disturbance, you,d think they would use a tennis ball so it would make less noise!
Looked like a good sky for Swifts tonight but none were found, it seems the last good moving day was Sunday 8th and the last ones recorded so far are Denise,10th and DJS, 11th.
Lets hope it pours down all day tomorrow to spoil it for the sad men on the unglorious 12th.
