The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Queensbury Today

Wet ,wild and windy was the order of the day today with strong winds and very heavy showers brightening slightly early p.m. before going back to rain.
A scattering of Mipits were going over >W this a.m. struggling in the wind and 4 Pied Wagtails were grounded on the rugby pitch. 15 Common gulls were in Foxhill park at lunch time and 17 LBB gulls headed over >NW.
The nights are drawing in drastically now with the roosting Jackdaw flock coming over by 1800 hrs and near dark by 1945.
