The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Swifts at last, Dailie Fields

Plenty greenery down the old station now

A much warmer day with a slight ESE>3 and cloudy sunshine.
Fifteen minutes sky watching from the top of the Dailies this lunchtime produced a steady flow of Swifts moving >SE in twos and threes
along with several Swallows.
Several Willow Warblers were singing down in the Hawthorns which will be worth a check out if ever I get the time.

Swift............................... 18 >SE
Swallow.........................32 >SE
Stock Dove....................4 >W
Heron............................1 >NE
several blogging Willow Warblers + usual sp.

1 Swift over Lee Mount on Tuesday evening - not a sign of any more here yet so it's good to know you have had a few passing through Bri.
