Another top coat morning. Fly Flatts.

                                        5 Oystercatcher present  + 2 chicks.

                                    Seeing off an unwanted guest.
                                    1 of 4 Redshank

Several Herring and LBB gulls over

Another icy cold morning at 9 degrees but feeling much colder in the moderate SW>5 with full cloud and damp in the air. Hazy over the western moor.
A bit livelier this morning with a few more waders showing with 4 Redshank, 3 Common Sandpiper, 1 Dunlin and 5 Oystercatchers plus the 2 chicks. The parent birds were keeping the other Oystercatchers at bay. Still Curlew and Lapwing present with now just the birds that are waiting for their young to fledge, the others having moved on.
Several Herring and LBB gulls were moving over >SW whilst there were plenty Swallows over the water but no Swifts today.
Cloudy sunshine for morning with a chance of showers after heavy overnight rain on, yet again, a moderate to strong WSW starting off at a warmer 12 degrees.
