A murky Ogden
Single Goosander
A dull and misty morning at Ogden with hill fog and mist over the plantation with full dark cloud on a light SW>2 at 0 degrees, another morning where I could have left the camera at home with little photographic light.
Very active bird wise with plenty to see but nowhere near the usual standards for this time of year with an absence of Siskin, Redpoll and the annual winter Tit flock.
The water held around 40 BH gull as well as 3 Common and 2 LBB, along with 1 Goosander, a single Cormorant and the usual Mallard, with even the Mallards on a lower count for this time of year.
A single Nuthatch was on the feeders with Blue, Great and Coal Tits plus the usual species whilst the waterside trees held a low count of the 3 Tit species but no Long Tailed Tits present as well as no Treecreeper and Goldcrest.
A Raven flew overhead among several Jackdaw, Crow and Magpie with a few Woodpigs and 2 Collared Doves present.
On the way back 9 Lapwing were in the ploughed field at the top of Taylor Lane with another group at the Raggalds Flood.
More fog and dark cloud for morning on a light southerly breeze at minus 1 degree.
