Soil Hill sky watch and migrant search.

The late afternoon Soil Hill session was spoilt with a blazing hot sun and calm conditions, something you dont usually associate with the hill luckily.
A shortage of Skylark on the summits this year is probably due to the long grass which could affect the Snow Buntings.
The tree line had picked up a variety of migrants with a group of around 8 Siskin down at the bottom along with Chaffinch, Goldfinch, Greenfinch and Linnet which were hard to sort out in the very dense trees.
Back up on the summit 1 hours sky watch produced 8 Swallow>S along with 9 Mipits also >S.  Good to get my first Redwing of the year , making up for this mornings dip, with 12 dropping down into the Ogden western plantation.
Otherwise it was just gulls and corvids in the bright blue skies.
A check down Jammy Fold off Taylor lane just produced Goldfinch and blogging Mipits.

My picturesque patch.. Ogden
