Wigeon day, Leeshaw

Suddenly 8 Wigeon dropped out of the sky.

Out of range shots across the water

10 minute break then off >W

A poor start at Leeshaw with banks of thick fog not clearing until 0730 hrs although it was bright and sunny up on the tops.
A steady flow of Mipits and Swallows was the only signs of vis mig whilst a good count of LBBs were around the water.
Whilst watching a distant Whinchat and 3 Wheatears in the distance a splash on the water made me turn round in time to see 8 Wigeon just landing. unfortunately they headed for the far shore out of camera range apart from record shots and after about 10 minutes they lifted off, flew a circuit, and away >W.
