Several Robins still in moult
Drake Tufted in partial eclipse
Plenty Linnets around.
An early evening visit to Cold Edge Dams with the dogs in an attempt to get out of the horrible hot stuff proved very quiet as found by NK earlier in the day but unfortunately I didnt read his blog until I got back.
The little plantation held around 5 Willow Warblers along with 4 Robins looking very tatty in the moult.
Several Linnets were around as well as Swallows but no Swifts or House Martins.
Powerboats were on Haigh Cote Dam whilst Leadbeater Dam held 9 Canadas, 1pr Tufted and 7 Mallard with another 6 Canadas in the field by the mill dam.
Strange how this site was a hot spot for breeding Stonechat a few years back and now they are gone other than an occasional sighting.
