Its becoming an obsession, Ogden pm.

Ogden1800-1900 hrs Strong W>5 sunshine and heavy showers.

With a full day of spannering in the morning and garden duties etc in the afternoon it just left time to walk the dogs at Ogden this evening to get the first soaking of July out of the way.
On arrival it was unusual to only have 2 cars in the car park besides mine which I,m not keen on as it narrows the chances of yours getting the broken window .
The sky was bright and sunny after one heavy shower but, as expected, the next heavy shower came when I was on the western end of the promenade.
A full scan of the water, still patiently waiting for that first Scoter , found the usual suspects with 1 ad 1 juv Heron, 5 BH gulls, 1 LBB gull plus the usual Canadas and Mallards.
Swallows and Swifts were plentiful over the water whilst 2 Grey wagtails and a juv Pied were down by the sluice gate but no records of Kingfisher since February which came as a surprise expecting to see them breed down there where they seemed settled over the winter.
Looking out of the window tonight, whilst I am typing this, at least 3 Herring gulls have gone over >NW.
