A Mipity start then a reet poor do.

Last of the sun over Foxhill this evening

Another good start to the day with Meadow Pipits coming over well as I walked down to work but this soon died a death after 0830 hrs leaving the skies quiet the rest of the day.
One anxious moment was a call from HC at Oxenhope, again, as yesterday, around 0900 hrs, with a skein of Pinkies over Fly Flatts heading east towards Ogden but passing to the north east of me and out of sight. I put it straight out on the grapevine but have,nt heard of anyone else seeing them. Thanks for the call Comp, keep em coming.
Weather permitting , it promises to be a decent vis mig weekend with plenty finches on the move and the winter thrushes on their way. Watch high up for those skeins of Pinks which can look like a length of string high up in a blue sky. Whooper Swans are also leaving their breeding grounds and heading south.
Have a good one.
