NOTE !!
No sightings of Roe Deer, Fox, Hare or Badger will be mentioned on this blog throughout the year and links will be removed from other blogs giving the whereabouts of these mammals due to the rising influx of poaching, long dogging and lamping by sick individuals.

Lesser Black Backed and Woodpigeons, Queensbury.

A deteriorating day with a grey dry start developing into low cloud and mist with a SW>4 and drizzle.
This evening the gritters are out in force so that means decent weather, they don,t turn out up here in bad weather.
A good early move of Woodpigeons from first light this morning all >NE but this had stopped by 0900hrs, a few weeks earlier than normal but this is probably due to the mild weather.
LBB gulls trickled over in ones and twos throughout the morning but the cloud base lowered by midday stopping any more sightings.
Lunchtime in Foxhill park was dire with nothing above due to the mist and no sign of the small gull flock, even the bird feeders in the garden were void of birds instead of the usual 20+ House Sparrows and squabbling Starlings.
On a bright note, a Blackbird was singing away in the conifers behind the garage this afternoon.
