Dodging the fog

Distant shots at Mixenden, m Goosander

                                 Goldeneye displaying
Very mobile due to dog walkers.

Back from the family thing at 1430hrs and clearer grey skies in Queensbury so off on the rounds.
Raggalds flood held just 2pr Mallard whilst Soil Hill was still in dense fog so after a quick trudge of the summits and 1 Skylark it was head for the next nearest venue below the cloud base.
Ogden is unbirdable Sunday afternoon due to the public so it was on to Mixenden reservoir where it was clear but very dull and dismal and well boggy walking along the western shoreline.
Several small gulls were on the water along with 8 Mallard, 1m Goosander and 3 Goldeneye, 2f 1m.
Nothing in the sky other than Jackdaws and Woodpigeons and only one report of pinkies from the grapevine today. At least it will have given our phones time to cool off and DJS time to rest his texting finger.
