Sunshine and showers, Fly Flatts

                                    9 Wheatear present

Terrible conditions this morning at Fly Flatts with a mix of sunshine and heavy showers on an icy cold, strong SW>4 gusting 5 at 8 degrees with a low cloud base.
No chance of Pinkies up there this morning in the conditions although there was some signs of movement skyward with Mipits, Swallows, Lapwings, Woodpigs and a very late Swift.
The shore was alive with a mass of grounded Meadow Pipits as well as 3 Stonechat and a good count of 9 Wheatear. Just a single Tufted on the water whilst the usual LBB and Black Headed gulls were on the north shore. Water as gushing into the reservoir at the inlet and lagoon but it will be quite a time topping up, though it does'nt matter now until February when my spring waders start to arrive.
Cloudy, wet and windy for morning with possibly some bright spells on a moderate SW at 10 degrees.
