Five Chiffchaffs at Ogden this tea time,
of which at least 3 had the encrusted facial feathers
as explained on last nights blog.
1515 hrs and a Willow Warbler check at Ogden hoping to get below the Soil Hill wind but it was nearly as bad at this site with a freezing cold WNW>5 and a light specking of rain.
At least 5 Chiffchaffs had arrived between the info centre and passerine alley, 3 of which showed the encrusted facial feathers but hard to get to grips with as they kept very mobile and low out of the wind. Still no Willow Warblers or Swallows present but come the weekend !!
Otherwise Ogden was poor in the conditions with just the usual species whilst the Tufted and Goosander had moved on.
Unfortunately Ogden will be out of bounds for the next 2 weeks now whilst the school holidays are on.
