Pit Lane Lapwing flock

                                       Pitch full of Starlings

                                 Lapwing flock building

Restless in the heavy drizzle and strong wind

Iffy photos in the conditions and at distance

A check on Raggalds flood in my dinner hour produced nothing so down Pit Lane to check the football pitches.
The Queensbury winter Lapwing flock seem to have forsaken Shelf Moor again this year and have opt for this area instead.
Around 250 Starlings and 117 Lapwings were present along with a few small gulls. The Lapwings kept having a fly around but mostly squat down head to the wind in the blustery, wet conditions whilst the Starlings did,nt seem to bother and just kept on frantically probing the ground.
Again no Goldies present.
