Some from Fly Flatts yesterday
Wheatear are moorland birds but seem drawn to water
The Northern shoreline
Across the water to the Nab and Bumps.
A poor start to the morning with heavy mist not clearing until 0800 hrs when I was at work.
A movement of Meadow Pipits was apparent over the garage with small groups of 5 or 6 birds as well as a steady flow of Swallows until mid morning, all birds were moving >WNW.
At lunchtime the family of 6 Pied Wagtails were on the top pitch as well as a single Skylark which was unusual.
A warning text from Bradshaw John this evening saying he had parked his car on the slip road between Ned Hill and Syke Lane whilst visiting Ogden and returned to a smashed back window, a thing we hear about daily at work now.
The ideal solution would be to round up all the scumbags and release them on the moor for the sad men in place of Grouse, then everyones happy.
