Ogden, evening visit

Grey Wagtail, always a nice bird to see.

Dipper way down in the overflow

After an atrocious day of heavy rain and strong winds an early evening visit to Ogden was quite pleasant with calm clear conditions with a perfect sky for Pinkie movement but this wasnt to be.
Several Swallows were overhead very high and >S along with a few House Martins whilst the water was deserted other than 3 BHGs, the resident Heron and the usual Mallards.
The elusive Dipper was way down in the bottom of the treatment plant along with the Heron, and the Grey Wagtail had been forced out of the overflow due to high water so luckily for the camera it was more out in the open.
A suprise this lunchtime when coming out of the park after dog walking in the pouring rain when a Buzzard flew from behind over the top of me low down and in migration mode flapping then gliding >SW.
I wasnt expecting anything in the conditions, and certainly not a raptor, so by the time Id fought my way out of my hood and got the camera out of my pocket it was gone.
Just proves they will fly in the rain.
