Woodies on the move

Clear skies >E over Thornton from Foxhill late p.m.

At last,a bright clear calm day, even if I was working.
Woodpigeons came over >S in good numbers from first light but had all but stopped by 0800hrs when they were down to stragglers coming over in ones and twos.
Some Fieldfare were also heading >S but these were more likely to have been a roost breaking up.
Sounds like we,re looking for Skuas now with a sighting yesterday ( HC Oxenhope) which went over Soil Hill ( where were you Nigel),
and another sighting today over Shibden(AC Halifaxbirders). Both birds were moving >SW.
Gannets and Skuas on our doorstep, who needs to go to the coast!
Hopefully the weather should be decent tomorrow so I,ll see if I can pick up a Guillemot or two at the local reservoirs.
