The Breeding Season

As from now until the end of the breeding season birds of a sensitive nature will be omitted from this blog due to a small percentage of undesirables who take their pleasure from egg collecting, nest destroying and the killing and trapping of birds.
Reports of non breeding birds moving through the area will still be published. BS

Wet and Windy

What a grim day today on the top of this hill. The wind has blown all day and the heavy drizzle and rain has been continuous from first light till after dark this evening.
Glad of the report from Ogden today when DJS checked the water only to find the Wigeon from yesterday gone. Interesting to know that they moved either overnight or early morning as I saw them at last light yesterday and they looked settled for the night.
The next ducks in should be Goldeneye but who knows whats around the corner.

Well done with the Brambling Denise, I searched the fall of Chaffinch at Ogden at the weekend but no joy.
