                                5 Oystercatchers present

                                    Single Stonechat
                            Early or over-wintering Meadow Pipit

A  beautiful morning to be up on the moors with wall to wall blue skies and sunshine on a light NE>3 at minus 2 degrees but feeling warmer in the light wind and full sun.
Several Lapwings are now appearing over the water and on the NE banking before settling down on the Flat Moor. Unfortunately, once again no sign of Golden Plover and still none showing over at Upper Marsh in their annual field above Leeshaw.
An extra Oystercatcher today with 5 now present and at least 4 Curlew. Only 1 gull over this morning with a Herring gull very high and >SE.
Small passerines consisted of 6 Reed Bunting, 1 Meadow Pipit and a single Stonechat whilst only the male Ringed Plover was showing this morning but I,m sure the female will be about somewhere.
Next wader to arrive should be Redshank usually appearing around the 11th both at Fly Flatts and Leeshaw.
