Fly Flatts, hot and sticky.!

1 of 8 Common Sandpipers present

2 Oystercatchers on the distant east bank spit.

Another day of the dreaded heat, sun and blue skies which normal people enjoy but certainly not me at Fly Flatts.
A light SE>3 was appreciated early doors which activated the birds slightly but by 0830 hrs the heat took over putting a stop to any movement with waders settling down around the banking.
At least 8 Common Sandpipers were present along with a total of 5 Redshank and 2 Oystercatchers whilst 3 Snipe were chipping from distant fence posts.
The usual 2 LBB gulls were still present on egg watch with 5 Black Headeds on the water. Otherwise it was down to the usual species and another early finish due to the conditions.
